Artist’s Studio + ADU

The open beam ceiling was achieved by using insulation panels under the roofing rather than between the rafters. We used duct-less mini-split HVAC to eliminate the need for ducting, keeping the ceiling like an old barn, rather than an industrial loft. Electrical wires for the lighting were concealed by running them on top of the exposed joists.
